For Scouts Ready to join? Here's what to do:
- Provide the following three documents along with your Troop 541 registration fee:
- Send an e-mail to our Scoutmaster asking to receive e-mail announcements
For Adults Ready to join our Troop Committee or Become a Leader, Here's what you need:
- Go to My Scouting, create an account for yourself, take the "Youth Protection Training" course, and print out a certificate of completion.
- Complete a BSA Adult Application Form.
- Complete your PA Background Checks and follow the instructions to upload them to the council site. Here's How

This is the latest version of the workbook that you must use for your project. You'll need it before you can start the planning process for your Eagle Scout Project.

- Eagle Scout Reference Letters Policy - This document is the Cradle of Liberty Council Policy for obtaining Eagle Scout letters of reference. It includes a letter you should give to the people you request letters from, and a sampe of the stamped addressed envelope you should give to them. You'll need 5 or 6 such letters.
- Eagle Scout Applicant Statement Of Ambitions And Life Purpose Positions, Honors, And Leadership - This document is provided by Cradle of Liberty Council for you to provide your statement of life's purpose as required as part of Requirement 6 for the Eagle rank.
- Troop 541 Life to Eagle Guidelines, 2023 Version
This document provides our troop's guidance on both planning an Eagle Scout Leadership Service Project and the rest of the steps required to apply for the Eagle rank. Your first step is to is to meet with the Scoutmaster who will go over this document with you in detail, your next step will be to obtain a workbook using the link above and get started, but don't start before you've met with the Scoutmaster.

- Troop 541 Medication Permission Form
This form is required if a Scout brings medications to a Troop 541 meeting or activity. With the exception of emergency items such as EPI pens or athsema inhalers, medications are to be held administered by a leader.
- Troop 541/542 Cell Phone/Electronic Device Usage Policy
This policy outlines our Troop's rules for the use of electronics devices at Troop functions including meetings and camping trips.
- Troop 541/542 Service Hours Policy
This policy describs the criteria a service project must meet to qualify as service hours for the ranks of Scout through Life. Eagle projects have their own requiremnts which are described in the project workbook (see the Eagle Scout section above).
