Announcements for April 6

  • IT'S TIME TO REQUEST CAMP MERIT BADGES AND ACTIVITIES - Registration for badges and activities at summer camp will be entered by our Scoutmaster on the morning of April 11, the day the registration system opens. Some, choices especially activities like ATV, fill up almost immediately. Scouts should work out their schedule and submit their requests before that. Here's how. It would also be wise to review the entire Countdown to Camp, especially since you may need to make a medical appointment.
  • PATROL LEADER'S COUNCIL MEETING APRIL 6 - There will be a meeting of the Patrol Leader's Council (PLC), which is comprised of the SPL, ASPL, PLs, Troop Guides, Scribe, and Outdoor Ethics Guide at the church on Monday, April 6, at 7:00 before the regular meeting.
  • ASK YOUR PARENTS TO GIVE BLOOD - The Red Cross is always in need of blood donors, and our sponser, Supplee Church, is hosting a blood drive on April 11 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. If any Scout parents are interested, here's more information and a signup link.
  • SIGN UP FOR OUR NEXT CAMPOUT -- THE LIBERTY JAM - Our first tent campout of the year is the coucil's Liberty Jam Campout at Green Lane Park on May 1 to 3. The main attraction will be a host of activities provided by Cradle of Liberty Council. You can sign up by paying the $65 cost to the troop. Payment is due by our April 13 meeting.
  • SPRING SERVICE PROJECTS - Keep the dates open for our three spring service projects.
    • April 25, 8:30 AM - Mulch spreading at Supplee (our chartered organization)
    • April 26, 2:00 PM - Removing invasive plants at Robbins Park
    • June 13, 9:00 AM - Highway cleanup starting at UDHS
